On the 8th January, 2011, in Aripezu Village, Onzoro Parish, Katrini Subcounty, the incumbent , also aspiring MP for Terego constituency and also FDC flag bearer had his rally interrupted, by NRM suppoters in the area.
The MP started his rally very well at 3.15 pm.Around 15 people organised and headed by the aspiring LC1 chairman and also at the same time the chatechist, called GUIDO, Started shouting and booing at the MP. They even went as far as tearing the poster of the MP.
The issue was reported at Wandi police post, and the suspect who tore the poster was arrested and detained for about four hours.
At the scene was one Munduni Rose Emmanuel DEC- LCV councillor, who quickly made a phone call to Mr Obiga Mario Kania, the NRM flag bearer for Terego Constituency. Mr Obiga arrived with suppoters in two vehicles and ordered the release of the suspect before statements could be recorded.Mr Obiga thretened to slap and beat up the police in charge only identified as Albert.The intimidation was beyond what the police officer could bear so he released the suspect, whom Mr. Obiga said he was going to treat.
On the same day, as the MP , Mr, Kasiano Wadri left the rally venue, he got stuck for a moment on the road after the vehicle he was traveling in got into a ditch . This ditch is said to have been dug deliberately by one Mr. Onzima David
Mr.Obiga reported the issue at Arua police station and as we write there is a case recorded pending court hearing.(KANIA VS KASSIANO)
